Becki Newton

Becki was raised in Guilford Connecticut. In her teens she began performing in local productions, including the community theater and summer stock. She was a student of European History at the University of Pennsylvania at the time, and during this time she spent several months abroad. When she graduated, Becki immediately moved to NYC to explore Broadway. Apart from a host of guest star roles and national commercials like Cold Case (2003) Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (2000) and American Dreams (2002) she was cast as Amanda on Ugly Betty 2006. She's married to actor Chris Diamantopoulos, and her brother is actor Matt Newton. They're beautiful, but not models of the highest caliber. I'm blessed that I can delegate the work to pros on the job and for red-carpet functions since I'm not able to say I'm a pro. In terms of my beauty, I am no frightened to try the new stuff. Glamour makes you happy! There's nothing wrong with being a little fussy or putting up with yourself. It's acceptable to be little naughty.
